Obituary:
Patricia B. Hogan, known as Penny to friends and relatives, passed away on February 18th, at the age of 72.
Born in York, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Daniel and Teresa Bumbaugh. Penny graduated from West York High School in 1958. She then attended the Bryn Mawr Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1961 with a Degree in Nursing. As a Registered Nurse she worked for the hospital and various nursing homes in the Bryn Mawr Area. She recently retired from nursing after 23 years at the Highlands of Wyomissing. Her love of children led her to start the first Girl Scout Troop for Special Needs children at the St. Katherine Day School in suburban Philadelphia in 1982.
Penny is survived by her husband Tom of 44 years, her daughter Michelle and husband Matthew Campbell, her son David and his wife Jamie Hogan and her son Stephen. They have three grandchildren Ian, Audrey and Grant. Also surviving is her brother Dan and sister Linda of York, Pennsylvania. Other surviving relatives include an aunt, Louise Degano of Bolivar, PA. and cousins Joseph Degano, Winter Springs, Fl. and Barbara Horner, wife of Terry of Indiana, PA.

Memorials:
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to John Paul II Center for Special Learning, 1092 Welsh Road, Shillington, PA 19607 in memory of Mrs. Patricia B. Hogan.

Visitation:
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, February 22, 2013 from 9-10:15 am.

Service:
Funeral procession will depart Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, Friday, February 22, 2013 at 10:15 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John Baptist de la Salle Roman Catholic Church, Kerrick and MItti Roads, Shillington at 11:00 am. Rev. Richard H. Clement celebrant.

Cemetery:
Interment Gethsemane Cemetery.
