Licensed Funeral Director
Robert E. Bean was born and raised in nearby Lebanon County and moved to Reading in 1946, and worked at the former Gibson Funeral Home. In 1955 he and his wife, the late Jacqueline D. Bean, founded the first Bean Funeral Home. Robert is a 1949 graduate of the American Academy of Mortuary Science in New York City, and received his license that same year from the PA State Board. From 1951 to 1954, Robert served his country as an Artillery Sergeant in the Korean War.

Originally from Schuylkill County, PA, Joe graduated from Northampton County Area Community College in 1984 with an Associate degree in Funeral Service Education. After completing school, Joe received his PA Funeral Director's license in 1985 and has been with Bean Funeral Homes since 1996. Joe is a member of St. Catherine of Sienna R.C. Church in Exeter Twp. Joe's professional, caring attitude surely shines through when assisting families at all four Bean locations.

Kevin Bean is a Berks County native and lifetime resident. As the son of Robert E. Bean, and the late Jacqueline D. Bean, founders of Bean Funeral Homes, Kevin literally grew up in funeral service, helping his parents and learning the business. After attending Penn State University, Kevin went on to become a 1981 graduate of the Dallas (Texas) Institute of Mortuary Science. He became a licensed funeral director in the state of PA in 1982 and now manages the four Bean locations in Shillington, Reading, Sinking Spring, and Exeter Township. Kevin has two sons and enjoys time with his family and scuba diving in the Florida Keys.

Carolina is a Licensed Funeral Director. She graduated from Muhlenberg High School in 2012. She went on to attend Northampton Community College, where she received her Associates Degree in Funeral Service Education in 2015.

David lives in Shillington. David graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Economics and he's a graduate of Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. He spent more than a decade selling life insurance to families. His interests are sports, travel and history. David and his wife, Niki, have two children.
Funeral Director Assistant
Luis was born in Bogota, Colombia and has lived
in Reading, PA since the age of eleven. He graduated from Reading Central
Catholic High School and attended West Chester University for Computer Science
studies. For twelve years he was sole proprietor of a local
transportation/limousine service. Luis enjoys watching sports and
spending time with his wife, Kristen, and their two children. He is a member of St. Catherine of Sienna R.C. Church in Exeter Twp. Luis is currently
enrolled at the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science to receive his Degree
in Funeral Service and obtain his Funeral Director license.

Marissa graduated from Muhlenberg High School in 2012 and continued her education at Northampton Community College, where she received her Associates Degree in Funeral Services in 2018. Marissa along with her husband Jon enjoy outdoor activities, watching sports, and traveling.
Certified Celebrant
As a Certified Celebrant, Amy assists families in creating meaningful and memorable Celebration of Life services. Born and raised in southern California; graduated from Valencia High School, Placentia, CA. Amy moved East in 1985. She enjoyed working in various aspects of the food service industry for 20 years; including owning and operating her own restaurant for 8 years. Amy currently lives in Exeter with her husband Anthony.

Born in
Reading and raised in Macungie, PA, now a Berks County resident. Tyler is a 2nd
generation Funeral Director and has been involved with funeral service since he was 16, helping his father, Timothy Stanton. Tyler attended Reading
Area Community College and is a 2019 graduate of Northampton Community College, achieving a degree in Mortuary Science. Tyler received his Funeral
Director's License after serving his internship at Kreamer and Lum Funeral
Home, in Jonestown. He then returned to Berks County to be closer to his
family. Tyler enjoys working out, cooking, watching sports, and attending
the Reading Phillies. Go Fightin Phils!
