Albert R. Ziegler

Albert R. Ziegler, 83, of Brecknock Township, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at 2:57 pm in his residence.  Born in Reading, Mr. Ziegler was the son of the late Clarence S. and Katherine (Williams) Ziegler. He was employed as a technician at Savage Hyundai in Shillington for 7 years then was employed by Crest Truck Equipment in Bowmansville as an assembler for 5 years. Mr. Ziegler served in the United States Navy in 1958, serving in Company 36. He had a love for Mopars and racing at Maple Grove Raceway. He also enjoyed rebuilding engines. He also enjoyed rescuing cats.  He is survived by his daughters Sandra Lynn Schaeffer wife of Robert E. Schaeffer of Robesonia; Sherry Ann Hayes companion of Scott T. Warden of Fleetwood, his grandchildren Joshua, Jennifer, Jason, NeTasha, Alicia, Jason and his 8 great grandchildren. Mr. Ziegler is also survived by his loving companion of 40 years Ann Clark of Shillington. He was preceded in death by his siblings William D. Ziegler; Harry R. Ziegler; Clarence Ziegler;  Maryanne Diem and Doris Schaeffer.

Funeral Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home, 129 East Lancaster Ave. Shillington, Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 11:00 am.   Entombment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery Mausoleum.  The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home Wednesday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.  Online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
