Alford W. "Billy" Spencer, 81, formerly of Reading, passed away January 31, 2011 at 7:40 PM in Reading Hospital & Medical Center. He was a resident of Green Hills Manor for 24 years. Born in Reading on April 9, 1929, he was the son of the late Broderick Spencer and the late Emily Kraatz.
He was employed for 15 years at Bachman's Bakery and at The Reading Eagle Company for 20 years.
Billy is survived by his cousin and caregiver Nancy E. (Kraatz) wife of Donald G. Gehret of Reading and several other cousins.
