Alice Marsh (Fish) Hyman, 83, a resident at the Highlands at Wyomissing, passed away Monday, October 6, 2025. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Mrs. Hyman moved to Reading in 1963, when she met and married the love her life, David L. Hyman, who passed away September 21, 2015. She was a graduate of Hunter College and spent her early years in Reading as a 1st grade teacher in the Reading School District. She was ahead of her time in understanding the significance of reading education. She was a nationally ranked bridge player and enjoyed swimming, tennis, walks, going to beautiful gardens, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Hyman is the daughter of the late Irving and Leah (Gelber) Fish and the wife of the late David L. Hyman. She is survived by her daughters Caroline (Donald) Brooks of Merion Station, Julie (Fred) Singer of Malvern, and her grandchildren Isaac, Sasha, and Lilly.

Mrs. Hyman’s husband was a founder of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berks County. Mrs. Hyman was active in this organization for years and was the Big Sister for two Little Sisters throughout many years of their childhood.
