Alvin Good

Alvin Good, 95, formerly of Shillington, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at the Reading Hospital. Born on July 5, 1929, at Bowmansville, PA, son of the late John G. Good and Anna (Hurst) Good. Alvin was involved in the Community Hiking Club, Seasoned Spokes Bike Club and volunteered with Meals on Wheels. Alvin enjoyed hiking and traveling to Europe with his wife Kitty. Alvin was predeceased by his first wife Nadine Elizabeth (Carichner) Good, who passed away on January 31, 1986, and his sisters, Mildred Forney and Joyce Good. He is survived by his wife Catherine (Rittenhouse) Good of 32 years; daughters, Judith Nadine (Good) Borrell, wife of Stanford Borrell, of Reading; Joanne (Good) Boyer, wife of David Boyer, of Yuba City, CA; stepdaughter, Kim Richland, wife of Dr. John Bally, of Boulder, CO; 3 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Robert Good, John Good, Richard Good; sisters, Helen Kauther, Anna Mae Fleming, Frieda Reiter, and Patricia Good. A memorial service will be held at Bean Funeral Homes 129 E. Lancaster Ave. Shillington, PA 19607 on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at 11:00am.
