Barbara A. Gingrich

Barbara Ann (Stewart) Gingrich, 84, of Tulpehocken Township, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024 at Linden Village, Lebanon, PA. 

Born in Stoney Creek Mills on April 19, 1940, to the late Bruce Stewart and Mary (Kline) Stewart. She was the wife of the late Paul Gingrich, Sr., who passed away in 2013. 

Barbara graduated from Bethel High School in 1958. She worked for Malina, Inc. in Womelsdorf for more than 20 years. Then worked for Healthways as a Medical Secretary, until retiring in 2007. 

She volunteered with the fire police at Rehrersburg Fire Company and was a volunteer with the Tulpehocken Settlement Historical Society in Womelsdorf. 

Barbara is survived by her brother William Stewart, husband of Maryellen, of Allentown, PA; her sisters, Anita (Stewart) Liss, wife of John, of Myerstown, PA; Mary Stewart, of Fremont, MO; children, Wanda (Gingrich) Keener, wife of Douglas, of Bernville; Melonie (Gingrich) Hornberger, wife of Gene, of Robesonia; Paul Gingrich Jr., husband of Laura Chanoski, of Lancaster; grandchildren, Samantha Keener, of Bernville; Brittney Hornberger, of Robesonia; Juliann Keener, of Bernville; and Joshua Keener, of Lebanon. Barbara is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held at Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, PA 19608 on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 11:00am. Burial to follow at Friedens Church Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home from 10:00am-11:00am.
