Barbara W. Mann

Barbara W. Mann, aged 86, of Freeport, Florida, formerly of Leesport, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026, in Pensacola, Florida. She was the devoted wife of nearly 64 years to David E. Mann Sr. Born on March 12, 1940, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, to Ewing and Mae (Charlier) Wagner, Barbara graduated from Wyomissing High School in 1958 and Goucher College in Towson in 1962. During her lifetime, she worked in the medical field and as a teacher for several years, but her cherished role was as a homemaker.

With a strong commitment to community service, Barbara served as the past president of the Junior League of Reading from 1981 to 1982 and on the board of directors for the American Red Cross from 1977 to 1980. Additionally, she was the class secretary at Goucher College between 1960 and 1962 and held positions as class treasurer and student council president at Wyomissing High School from 1957 to 1958. Barbara's personal life was marked by her love of gardening, sewing, and her roles as mother, grandmother, and active church member.

She is survived by her husband David E. Mann Sr. of Freeport, Florida; son, Dr. David E. Mann Jr., husband of Edina Mann, of Panama City Beach, Florida; daughter, Patricia L. (Mann) Bodick, wife of Joseph J. Bodick III, of Pipersville, PA; grandchildren, Matthew, Bennet, Celia, McLane, Jacob.

Barbara was predeceased by her son William S. Mann and sister Beverly Wagner.

A Funeral Service will be held at Bean Funeral Homes 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, PA 19608 on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 10:00am. Burial will be private at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
