Barbara Ann Quinter, 88, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 3:00 a.m. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald D. Quinter, who preceded her in death on September 26, 2017. Born in Reading, Barbara was the cherished daughter of the late Russell and Anna E. (Hesser) Schmeck.
A proud 1955 graduate of Muhlenberg High School, Barbara was a lifelong member of Rosedale United Church of Christ in Laureldale. She dedicated her professional life to serving others with warmth and integrity, working as a teller at American Bank & Trust in Reading, later as head teller at Great Valley Bank, and finally as a processing ad employee for the Donnelly Directory.
Barbara’s greatest passion in life was loving and caring for her family. Her home radiated warmth, laughter, and unconditional love—a place where everyone felt welcome and cherished. She found deep joy in being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whether sharing stories around the dinner table or soaking up the sun with loved ones on the beach in Ocean City, NJ. Those moments—filled with laughter, sea breezes, and togetherness—were among her most treasured memories.
She is survived by her devoted children: Dalynn A. Boyer, wife of Scott G. Boyer of Temple; Nancy A. Campbell, wife of Bernie T. Campbell of Sinking Spring, Troy Quinter, husband of Dawn Quinter of Muhlenberg Township, and Thomas Quinter of Muhlenberg Township. Barbara was preceded in death by her sons Timothy Quinter and David Russell Kaecher. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Moyer.
Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Rebecca, Rachael, Samantha, Hannah, Max, Erika, Leland, Kane, Eli, and Geoffrey; and her great-grandchildren: Sophie Quin, Mason, and Logan.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Rosedale United Church of Christ, 1301 East Bellevue Ave., Laureldale. Reverend Selina C. Hamilton will officiate. The family will receive relatives and friends at the church from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Barbara’s memory to the Breakthrough T1D (formally Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation), 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004 at www.breakthrought1d.org/
