Bernard Mccoy

Bernard A. “Skip” McCoy, 94, formerly of Exeter Township, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022 at the Reading Hospital. He was the loving husband to Rosemary Anne (Maylath) for over 46 years of marriage. Skip was born in Shillington, to the late A. Bernard McCoy and Catherine (Shilling). Bernard served in the United States Army and went on to achieve a Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State. He later went on to work as a chemical engineer for Firestone’s Plastics division and the Occidental Chemical Company in Pottstown.

In addition to his wife Rosemary, Bernard is survived by his sons Kevin A. McCoy, husband of Kelly Jean, of Edmond OK, and Jeffrey Alan McCoy, of Allentown, and his granddaughter, Alexandra J. McCoy.

A celebration of Skip’s life will be held in Bean Funeral Homes, 129 E. Lancaster Ave, Shillington, on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 10:00 AM. Amy Landis, Certified Celebrant, to officiate. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home, Shillington, on Friday, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
