Betty G. Kroenig, 93, of Wyomissing, passed away Saturday June 27, 2026 at 9:53 am at Penn State Health-St. Joseph Hospital. She was the wife of the late Neil T. Kroenig, who passed away February 6, 2008. Born in Tulpehocken Township, Mrs. Kroenig was the daughter of the late S. Leon and Elsie (Keener) Gross. She was a 1950 graduate of Womelsdorf High School and was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church in West Reading. Mrs. Kroenig was employed by Berkshire Knitting Mills as a seamer, then at Schott’s Candies and Julie’s Hallmark until her retirement. She is survived by her daughters Andrea N. Kroenig of Hoboken, New Jersey and Janell A. Bartal wife of Francis E. Bartal of Reading and her niece Cheryl Firth wife of David Firth of Maryland. She was preceded in death by her sister Janet Mattis.

Memorial Service will be held at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church 336 Franklin Street, West Reading, PA 19611 Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 2:00 pm. Reverend Bruce Osterhout will officiate. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family at St. John’s (Hain’s) Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church at the above address or Humane Pennsylvania 1729 North 11th Street, Reading, PA 19604 in memory of Mrs. Betty G.
