Betty B. Ulrich

Betty B. Ulrich, 93, of Brecknock Township, Lancaster County, went to her Heavenly home on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 8:05 am in her residence.  She was the wife of the late Forrest Robert “Wooly” Ulrich who preceded her in death on February 26, 2008.  Born in West Reading, Betty was the daughter of the late Carl Franklin Peiffer and Helen Mae (Crouse) Peiffer.  She was a long-time member of West Wyomissing Chapel and was a 1948 graduate of Wilson High School and a 1951 graduate of the Delaware Hospital School of Nursing.  She was a registered nurse and enjoyed a 42- year career at Lancaster General Hospital, Reading Hospital, Ephrata Hospital and Lancaster Visiting Nurses Association.  Betty and her husband also founded Greenview Bible Camp, Lancaster County in 1959 which became their lifelong passion, directing the camp together for 35 years.
 Betty is survived by her sons, Robert Philip Ulrich husband of Sue Ulrich of Robesonia and David James Ulrich husband of Siobhan Ulrich of Lower Heidelberg Township and daughters, Donna Marie Rohrbaugh wife of Steven Rohrbaugh with whom she last resided and Marci Lynne Kendall wife of Matt Kendall of Wilmington, Delaware and her 20 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister Phyllis Fry, wife of Norman Fry of Denver, Lancaster County.  
Graveside Service will be held at the convenience of the family at Sinking Spring Cemetery, with Reverend Dr. Brett J. Reider officiating.  Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring is in charge of arrangements.
