Betty Ann Vilardo, 91, formerly of Exeter Township, passed away peacefully, Friday, June 16, 2023 at Garden Spot Village, New Holland.  She was the wife of the late Michael J. Vilardo, with whom she celebrated 50 years of marriage.  Born in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Betty was the daughter of the late Charles and Antoinette (Albrecht) Young. She was a 1949 graduate of Reading High School and was a member of Saint Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, Exeter Township. Betty spent many years as a stay-at-home mother and later was the Health & Welfare Benefits Officer for Teamsters Local 429 from where she retired.  Betty enjoyed being outdoors, playing volleyball, shopping, traveling, making family dinners, and going to lunch with her friends. Music, dancing, and Drum Corp were some of her favorite pastimes. Betty was a dedicated mother and mother-in-law. She was known as Mommom to all who knew her. She treasured her family and embraced every moment with them as a true optimist and was always smiling. She is survived by her children Michele D. Snyder wife of James W. Snyder, III of Exeter Township; Michael D. Vilardo husband of Alynda R. of Exeter Township; and proud Mommom of Lindsey A. Crass wife of Jaret C. Crass; Mindy E. Anderson wife of Josh N. Anderson; Jimmy W. Snyder; Jonathan A. O’Neil; Christina N. Harkins wife of Tom J. Harkins and great grandchildren Owen, Patrick, and Noah Crass and Collette Anderson.  Betty is also survived by her sister Jean Moylan of Mount Penn.

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church 4975 Boyertown Pike, Exeter Township, Friday, June 23, 2023, at 10:00 am.  Reverend Brian M. Miller, Celebrant.  Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.  The family will receive relatives and friends at Saint Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church Friday from 8:45 am to 9:45 am.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Keystone Military Families 331 Main Street Rear, Shoemakersville, PA 19555 in memory of Mrs. Betty Ann Vilardo.  Bean Funeral Home 6 Fairlane Road, Exeter Township is in charge of
