Beverly A. Grogg

Beverly A. (Lewis) Grogg, 73, of Reading, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at The Reading Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife to Lee G. Grogg Jr. for over 18 years before his passing on January 19, 2024. Born in Reading, Beverly was the daughter of the late Herman W. Lewis and Phyllis M. (Cutler). She was a graduate of Reading High School, class of 1968, and went on to work as the Director of Finance for Bachman Co. for over 20 years before her retirement in 1988.

Beverly is survived by her children, Brian D. Gehris, husband of Tina, of Shillington, Wayne O. Gehris, husband of Kristin, of Wyomissing, Tamara L. West, wife of Michael, of Reading, and her stepdaughter, Traci L. Heffner, wife of Brian of Hamburg. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren, as well as her sister, Cynthia A. Ramos, wife of Hipolito, and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents and husband Lee, Beverly is predeceased by her siblings Wayne A. Lewis and Karen M. Roman. Beverly enjoyed time with her friends, cuddling with her many pets over the years, gardening, and dancing; she was a member of the Rosie Glaser’s Oldies Dancers. She loved holidays, especially Halloween where she dressed as a witch each year and was known to have the scariest porch on the block. She loved her family and most especially being Mommom. The family would like to thank “Queen” Pam Young, from Griswold Home Care, who was Beverly’s angel over the past few months.

A memorial service for Beverly will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at 2:30 PM in Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave., Sinking Spring. The family will receive relatives and guests in Bean Funeral Home, Sinking Spring, on Sunday from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM.
