Bright Dierolf

Bright H. Dierolf, 79, of West Lawn, passed away March 29, 2009 in St. Joseph Medical Center at 11:57 am surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his Loving Wife Elizabeth M.(Betty) (Kilhefner) to whom he was married for 58 years. Born in Reading he was the son of the late Merritt H. and Helen M. (Hoff) Dierolf. Mr. Dierolf was employed by Rockwell International as a material handler for 36 years, retiring in 1992. He also served as treasurer of United Steel Workers Union Local 6996 for 18 years. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of West Lawn United Methodist Church. Mr. Dierolf enjoyed fishing, played fast pitch softball for various teams in the Reading area, was a life member of both the West Wyomissing and Neversink Fire Companies. In addition to his wife he was a Loving Father to Gil M. husband of Vicki L. Dierolf of Mohnton, Mike R. (Moose) husband of Cindy M. Dierolf of Sinking Spring, Rick S. husband of Tyna Y. Dierolf of Sinking Spring and Debbie M. (Dierolf) wife of Brin Bossler of Wyomissing. He was also a Loving Grandfather to Heather, Jason, Jenny, Britney, Josh, Kaitlyn and Kyle. He was a Loving Great Grandfather to Avianna. He is also survived by 3 step grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren.
