Brooke C. Miller, of Spring Township passed away peacefully with his wife at his side on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Reading Hospital. He is remembered as the devoted husband of Marilyn J. Miller (Troop) for 58 years. Born in Reading to Charles and Catharine (Rogers) Miller, Brooke was a lifelong resident and dedicated family man. A graduate of Reading High School's Class of 1961, Brooke proudly served in the United States Army, holding the position of Officer in Charge of the Second Infantry Division Information Office at Fort Benning, GA. He furthered his education in computer technology at McCann School of Business and Albright College and earned an associate's degree in business from Penn State University, Berks, in 1975. Brooke's career spanned 38 years, starting at Western Electric as a computer operator in 1965 and advancing to accountant roles at Western Electric, Agere, and Lucent Technologies.After retiring, Brooke spent 14 years delivering parts for Penski.

He enjoyed vacations in Cape May; 20 years of golfing trips to Myrtle Beach; international travel to Europe, Asia and Africa; reading mysteries; playing hausenpfeffer and

pinochle; and bowling and golfing with friends. Most of all, he loved spending quality time with his grandsons. Brooke was a faithful member of Advent Lutheran Church for 53 years, serving as Sunday School treasurer, Head Usher, Safe Haven Transportation Director, and Financial Secretary.

Brooke is survived by his wife, Marilyn J. Miller, of Spring Township, his daughter, Heather L. Peterson, wife of Jeffrey L. Peterson, of Manlius, NY, and his grandsons, Alexander and Zachary. He was predeceased by his son, Craig A. Miller, and seven siblings: Irwin, Melvin, Charles Jr., Joseph, Hettie Wardenski, Catharine Dix, and Mary Lou Gery.

A memorial service will be held at Advent Lutheran Church, 16 Telford Ave, West Lawn, PA 19609, on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 11:00 am. Friends and relatives are invited to pay their respects at the church from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Berks County Veterans Affairs, 20 Commerce Drive, Wyomissing, PA 19610, in memory of Brooke C. Miller.
