Carolyn I. Dendler

Carolyn I. Dendler, 81, of Elizabethtown, formerly of Womelsdorf, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at Masonic Village at Elizabethtown, Health Care Center. She was the loving wife to Dennis W. Dendler for over 45 years of marriage, before his passing on August 30, 2025.Born in West Reading, Carolyn was the daughter of the late, John D. Kirlin and Esther C. (Haas). 

She was a graduate of Wilson High School and went on to work as a Licensed Property and Casualty Insurance Agent, in Womelsdorf before retiring in 2007. Carolyn was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star, Reading Chapter 251 and Chapter 449, and a past Matron of Reading Chapter 271 OES.

Carolyn is survived by her son, J. Douglas Stettenbauer, of Columbia, PA stepchildren, Julie Almanrode, of Cooper Landing, Alaska, Brad Dendler, of Wilkes County, NC, Dawn Steimer, of Millsboro, DE, grandchildren, Chad, Katlyn, Kyle, Jill, Jacob, Jesse, Josi, Jacob, Jamima, and 14 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, David W. Kirlin.I

n addition to her parents and husband Dennis, Carolyn is predeceased by her granddaughter, Cortne and brother, J. Donald Kirlin. Interment will be held privately at Pleasant View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Carolyn's memory to The American Cancer Society or a hospice organization of your choice.
