Catherine L. Christian

Catherine Louise (Focht) Christian, 76, of Temple, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center, with her loving family by her side. She was the loving wife to Dudley B. Christian for over 50 years of marriage. Born in Reading, Cathy was the daughter of the late James M. Focht and Margaret G. (Babb) Focht.

She worked for 10 years as a secretary at Bell Telephone, before focusing on her family as a dedicated stay-at-home mom/homemaker. She spent a number of years volunteering for the Oley Valley Community Fair for the crafts department, also serving as chairperson for that department. In her spare time throughout her life she enjoyed bowling, bingo, and trips to the casino with her husband.

In addition to her husband Dudley, Cathy is survived by her children, Brian Christian and Michele Christian. She is also survived by her brother, James Focht.

Cathy is predeceased by her sisters, Grace Rogers and Barbara Wright.

A memorial visitation for Cathy will be held at a later date at Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, PA 19608.
