Claire E. McVaugh, 80, of Reading, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022.
Born on May 29, 1942, in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Thaddeus J. and Elizabeth (Matuszak) Glembocki.
Claire is survived by her daughters Elizabeth C. Ingram, wife of Richard L. Ingram, of Cumming, GA; Jacqueline McVaugh, of GA; Melissa McVaugh, of Nicaragua; 5 Grandchildren; Jessica C. Hampton, wife of Dale Hampton of Richmond Hill, GA; M. Logan McVaugh of Nashville, TN; Ezekiel W. Ingram of Cumming, GA; Thaddeus J. Ingram of Cumming, GA; Nicole E. Korinchock of Reading, PA; 2 Great Grandchildren; Sylvie and Emma Hampton.
During her life, Claire always worked hard to care for her family. She had a varied and interesting work history such as working in a local bakery as a young girl, dancing as a Capri Girl at the Reading Motor Inn in the 70's, a fragrance and cosmetic rep at Macy's Department store in Georgia, working at the family business, Paragon Optical Company, in Reading, caring for her aging parents and then as a Home Health Aide for the elderly until retirement. Claire loved to play the piano, cook and share her food and colorful stories with others. She had a sharp wit and a flamboyant style. She was also a wonderful grandmother and aunt and was, by nature, a caregiver. This legacy is one we hold dear to our hearts.
Services will be at the convenience of the family.
