Claire Schaeffer

Claire V. Schaeffer, 93, formerly of Reading, passed away November 23, 2009 at 8:45 AM in Kutztown Manor where she resided for 3 months. She was the wife of Harry Schaeffer who passed away February 23, 1976. Born in Reading on March 12, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Clara (Smith) Madara.

Mrs. Schaeffer was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church.

She was employed at Camp Hosiery in Reading for 13 years until 1981 and later worked at McDonald's from 1986 until retiring in 1991.

Surviving are a daughter Doris A. (Schaeffer) widow of Eugene Lessig of Fleetwood, a grandson Eugene H. Lessig and a great granddaughter Ashley N. Lessig.
