Darlene Weitzel

Darlene F. “Frances” Weitzel, 92, formerly of Wernersville, passed away Monday, July 11, 2022 at 10:30 pm at Phoebe Berks Health Care Center.  Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Emily (Reifsnyder) Hiester.  Ms. Weitzel was a fashion designer for Dolfin Corp. in Shillington for 28 years and then a plant manager for ML Sportswear in Newmanstown for 10 years.  She was a member of the Sewing Guild of Berks County and had served as president and vice president.  Ms. Weitzel is survived by her sister Annette F. Lengel of Reinholds and nephew Michael G. McCane of Lock Haven and was preceded in death by her sister Virginia McCane and brothers Frederick Reifsnyder and Glenwood Hiester.
