David A. Himmelberger

David A. Himmelberger, 75, of West Lawn, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the Reading Hospital. Born in Strausstown, David was the son of the late, Lee Himmelberger, and Anna (Roth) Himmelberger.

David loved cheering on Penn State football, watching NASCAR, vacationing at the beach and making memories with his family at Lake Wynonah. He also enjoyed caring for his cats.

David is survived by his daughters, Sara L. Ayres, of Sinking Spring, Melanie L. Lozenski, wife of Robert, of Bern Township, his loving companion of over 42 years, Susan Gernert, his granddaughters, Laylah, Avery, Reese, Quinn and his sister, Mae Frantz.

In addition to his parents, David is predeceased by his brother, Kenneth “Kenny” Himmelberger.

Services for David will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be in David’s memory to The Humane Society of Reading.
