Donald J. Becker

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Donald J. Becker, who departed this life peacefully on Monday, September 21, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on October 30, 1939, in Reading, Pennsylvania to Edwin Becker Sr. and Mabel Becker (Merkle). Donald was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and companion. Donald dedicated his professional life to the transportation industry, serving as a truck driver, a vocation that reflected his hardworking spirit and commitment to his craft.

He is survived by his fiancé of 50 years, Georgett Schlouch; his daughter, Stacy; stepdaughter, Tracy Nigrelli of Spring Township; and his grandchildren, Samantha Nigrelli and Taylor Nigrelli. Donald took great joy in the company of his great-grandchildren, Lucas and Mason. He is also survived by his sisters, Pat Bohn, widow of Wilbur Bohn of Sinking Spring, and Shirley Drexel, widow of Foster Drexel of Bern Township. He was predeceased by five siblings, who will also be remembered fondly.

A public viewing will be held in Donald's Honor at Bean Funeral Homes 129 E. Lancaster Ave. Shillington, PA 19607 on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, from 9:30 AM-10:30 AM. Following the view, a funeral service will take place at the same location at 10:30 AM. Amy Landis, Certified Celebrant, will officiate the service. Burial will take place at Pleasant View Cemetery.

Donald J. Becker's legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
