Donald Charles Bristol, 86, of Wernersville, passed away on September 14, 2025. He was the son of Hazel and Frank Bristol of Berthoud, Colorado. He is survived by his wife Christine, his daughter Julie of Loveland, CO, and four grandchildren (Audrey and Benjamin Bristol-Evans of Doylestown, PA; Christine wife of Gustavo Munoz and Taylor Bristol all of Phoenix, AZ). He was pre-deceased by his son Terry of Phoenix, AZ. Don was born in Berthoud, Colorado, in April 1939.

He graduated from Berthoud High School in 1957 and Colorado State University in 1962 with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and pursued graduate studies at Denver University.

Don retired from Carpenter Technology Corporation in 1996. His last assignment was that of Senior Vice President - Steel Division. During his tenure with Carpenter, he served in a number of positions including General Sales Manager, Vice President of Human Resources and Administration, and Vice President of Manufacturing Operations.

Prior to joining Carpenter, Don held various managerial positions within the nuclear fuel processing industry.

He served as president of Leadership Berks, president of The Reading Musical Foundation (and as facilitator for RMF's strategic planning effort) and in several volunteer positions within Berks County's United Way as well as board member of Berks Encore. He also served as past co-president of the San Diego Rose Society. Don also served as interim director at the Reading Public Museum.

He was a member of the Board of Hamilton Bank, followed by CoreStates Bank, NA, until its merger with Meridian Bank, now Wells Fargo Bank.

In his retirement, Don enjoyed reading, gardening, home improvement projects, cooking and watercolor and acrylic painting.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, September 29, at 2:00 PM in Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, PA 19608. A Visitation will be held on Monday, from 1:00PM to 2:00 PM.
