Dorene L. Lefkowith

Dorene L. Lefkowith, 79, of Reading, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at the Reading Hospital. She was the wife of the late Otto S. Lefkowith, who passed away on January 13, 2016. Together they shared 38 years of marriage. Born in Reading she was the daughter of the late Alton and Rita (Rudolph) Heckman. Dorene was a graduate of Schuylkill Valley High School. During her life she worked as a Sales Representative for Auto Locator Inc. for 30 years, until retiring. Dorene was an avid quilter and sewist. She enjoyed dining out with her many friends and spending time with her family.

Dorene is survived by her daughters, Robin C. Riegel, of Leesport; Kelly C. Saylor, wife of Michael Saylor, of Reading; stepchildren, Gary Lefkowith, husband of Lyn, of CT; Nancy Cabrera, wife of Rafael, of NY; 4 grandchildren, Mason, Brandon, Alison, Katherine; 1 great grandchild; brother, Todd Heckman, husband of Kelly, of Wernersville; and nephew, Alec Heckman.

A memorial service will be held in Bean Funeral Homes 129 E. Lancaster Ave. Shillington, PA 19607 on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 11:00am. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00am-11:00am. Burial will be private. Online condolences may be made to www.beanfuneralhomes.com.
