Doris M. Westley

Doris M. Westley (Schwenk), 92, of Shillington, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025 at The Heritage of Green Hills. She was the loving wife to Donald M. Westley, for over 72 years of marriage before his passing on November 10, 2024. Born in Reading, Doris was the daughter of the late, Edward Schwenk and Catherine Hill (Ulrich). Doris was a graduate of Reading High School, and went on to work as a Office Manager with her husband at RMI Inc. before her retirement. Doris was a lifelong member of West Lawn United Methodist Church.

Doris is survived by her daughters, Donna M. Mendenhall, wife of Dale, of Ione, WA, Diane M. Wertz, widow of Thomas, of Milton, DE, Debra M. Sowell, wife of John of Newport, NC, her grandchildren, Margot Charles, Angela, Leann, Westley, Katie, as well as great grandchildren, Gale, Ethan, Cayden, Karissa, Harrison, Owen, Lucy, and Ashley, wife of Ethan.

Funeral service for Doris will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 1:00 PM in Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, PA 19608. Interment to follow in Laureldale Cemetery.
