Edgar Springer

Edgar D. Springer, 95, of Tabernacle, NJ and formerly of Reading passed away November 15, 2010 in Samaritan Hospice Center, Mt. Holly, NJ where he was a patient since Friday. He was the husband of Eleanor (Patterson) Springer who passes away March 29, 1996. Born in Reading on April 24, 1915, he was the son of the late Franklin L. and Edna A. (Haines) Springer.

Mr. Springer was the Treasurer of The City of Reading for 37 years retiring in 1976.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Jacqueline L. (Springer) widow of David Suchnick of Riverview Park and Nancy L. (Springer) wife of William Mock of Tabernacle, NJ; a daughter in law Holly L. (Hadesty) Springer of Wyomissing, 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a sister June E. (Springer) widow of Roy W. Hill, Jr. of King of Prussia. Mr. Springer was predeceased by a son James E. Springer on April 24, 1998.
