Elaine M. Bleakley

Elaine M. Bleakley, 84, of Bern Township, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 11:58 am at Mifflin Court surrounded by her three children and granddaughter.  She was the wife of the late Charles J. Bleakley who passed away May 4, 2018.  Born in Orange, New Jersey, Mrs. Bleakley was the daughter of the late Ralph and Rose (Barraro) Oufiero.  She was a member of Saint Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church and was a registered nurse at the Highlands of Wyomissing until her retirement.  Elaine is survived by her children Debra Ackelson wife of Jud Ackelson with whom she last resided; Charles J. “Chuck” Bleakley, Jr. husband of Patty Bleakley of Pottstown; Christa Hopwood wife of Tyler Hopwood of Leesport and her grandchildren that she adored; Rosemarie Campbell; Kayla Ackelson-Mannato; Nicholas Bleakley; Garrett Bleakley; Swaye Hopwood; Tuesday Hopwood and Pepper Hopwood and her great grandson Miles Charles Mannato.  Also surviving are her sisters Joan Andre and Jacqueline Spagnolo and she was preceded in death by her sister Marion Hynes.  The family of Elaine Bleakley would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Mifflin Court and Comfort Hospice for the care they provided their mother.

Funeral Procession will depart Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, Friday, June 7, 2024 at 10:45 am.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church 2600 St. Alban’s Drive, Sinking Spring at 11:30 am.  Reverend George Osei Ababio, Celebrant.  The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory, Friday from 9:00 am to 10:45 am.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Mrs. Elaine M.
