Elizabeth (Betty) Eberly, 97, of The Highlands at Wyomissing, passed away October 6, 2009 at 9:58 AM in Reading Hospital & Medical Center. Born in Lancaster County on November 16, 1911, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Showalter) Eberly.
Miss Eberly was employed as a crystal grower by Western Electric in Reading for 20 years retiring in 1956. She was an avid golfer, enjoyed sewing and craft making, solving cross word puzzles and won many awards for her floral arranging.
Surviving is a sister Kathryn (Eberly) Griffith in Arizona and several nieces and nephews.
