Elizabeth L. (Bette) Seaman Bodek

Elizabeth L. (Bette) Seaman Bodek, 95, formerly of Reading, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2025 at 5:49 pm at Berks Heim. She was preceded in death by her first husband Kenneth C. Seaman, March 23, 1982 and by her second husband Frank S. Bodek, January 7, 2015. Born in Reading, Mrs. Bodek was the daughter of the late Leonard W. and Laura R. (Martin) Kugler. She was a 1947 graduate of Central Catholic High School and was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church. Mrs. Bodek was employed by CNA Insurance in the auto rating department. She is survived by her children Beverly A. Bard wife of Russ Bard of St. Lawrence; Eileen L. Smutek wife of Joe Smutek of Flying Hills; Donna S. Hilton wife of Tom Hilton of Exeter Township; Douglass B. Seaman husband of Peggy Seaman of Rochester, New York; Cheryl L. Sheirich of Muhlenberg Township; her 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sons William C. Seaman in 2021 and Stephen K. Seaman in 2020 and her companion David Yaffee in 2021.

Prayer Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home 1605 Rockland Street, Hampden Heights, Friday, June 13, 2025 at 11:30 am. Reverend Allen Hoffa will officiate. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home Friday from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.
