Essence L. DeBooth

Essence L. DeBooth went home on July 19, 2025. Essence was a graduate of Reading High School and pursued a career in the medical field. Essence loved taking care of others, listening and dancing to music, and above all, she loved her son Mahleek, he was her light.

Essence is survived by her son, Mahleek Norman DeBooth, Mother, Allee M. DeBooth, Father, William Person, her siblings, Rashard J. DeBooth, Tevaun P. DeBooth, Shaquelle M. Wright, Denzel DeBooth Aungst, and Emani Wright. Essence is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nephews, and nieces. She is also survived by her best friend, and caretaker, Felicia Hall.

Essence is predeceased by her grandparents, Norman J. DeBooth Jr. and Allee DeBooth, her aunts, Althea Nixon Tomczak, Joan Smith Crawford DeBooth, her uncles, Norman DeBooth III, Leymond DeBooth “Buddy” and Curtis Williams.
