Evelyn H. Marker, 84, of Wernersville,  passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022, at Phoebe Berks.

She was the beloved wife of Russell C. Marker. Together they shared 60 years of marriage.

Born in Nazareth, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Gilbert A. and Verna V. Hearn (Lichtenwalner)

Evelyn was a dedicated nurse. She received her RN from St. Lukes, her undergraduate degree from Pittsburg University, and her master's degree from West Chester University. During her life, she was a School Nurse for Wilson Senior High School, for 20 years, retiring in 1996.

She was an active member of Park Road Presbyterian Church in Wyomissing. Evelyn was involved in the bell and singing choir. She wrote biographies of numerous members of the church and she helped to run the "Young at Heart" group. For many years, she organized, and sang in Pop's Night, a musical variety show at the church.

She enjoyed playing bridge, tennis, running and sailing. Evelyn and Russell travelled extensively and visited all 50 states.  They also travelled internationally and a highlight was walking on the Great Wall of China. Evelyn and Russell loved spending time with their grandchildren in Colorado.

In addition to her husband Russell C. Marker she is survived by her son, Andrew R. Marker, of Sinking Spring; daughter, Deborah M. Ramírez, wife of Edward V. Ramírez, of Boulder, Colorado; grandchildren, Zachary R. Ramírez and Sacha E. Ramírez and brother John G. Hearn, of Arizona.

A Memorial Service will be held on February 28th, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Phoebe Berks Chapel, 1 Reading Drive, Wernersville, PA 19565 . Online condolences may be made to www.beanfuneralhomes.com.
