Fay Shupp

Fay Shupp, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025, at the Sinking Spring Nursing and Rehab Center.

Born January 17, 1932 in Reading, PA, she grew up in a lively household as one of seven children, fostering the spirit of family that would forever shape her life.

After attending Reading High School, Fay embraced the role of wife, homemaker and loving mother. She assisted her husband in running Reading Window Cleaning Co.

Her proudest accomplishments were the nurturing of her sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She had a vibrant personality, characterized by her sassy charm and warmth. She was a people person, always ready to lend a helping hand. She enjoyed life while participating in scouting activities, bowling, playing bridge, bingo and visiting social clubs. She enjoyed and cherished her many friends at the Sencit Townhouse Apartments where she served as president of the resident association. The mere mention of her frequent trips to the casinos always brought a big smile to her face.

She is survived by her siblings Antonia Roeder and Crist Galanos. Her son Raymond E Weidner and wife Judy. Her grandchildren Alexander Weidner, Lauran Weiler, Jon Weidner and their families.

Fay now joins her predeceased loved ones in eternal peace, including her father Constantine A Galanos, Mother Irene Daisy (Greene) Galanos, brother Frederick Galanos, sisters Evelyn Ziats, Marylou Galanos and Kiriake Parzanese.

Her son Robert A Weidner, infant grandson Robert WeidnerJr., as well as her first husband Linford A Weidner and second husband William B Shupp Jr.

A graveside service celebrating her life will take place at noon on December 15, 2025 at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Reading, PA. This occasion will honor the legacy of a woman whose love knew no bounds and whose spirit will remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
