Fenton H. Spiese

Fenton H. Spiese, born on October 21, 1936, in Reading, Pennsylvania, departed this life on July 21, 2025, at the Phoebe Berks Health Care Center. He lived a life dedicated to service and family, leaving behind cherished memories and a profound legacy.

Fenton served honorably in the United States Army for four years, demonstrating his commitment to his country. Following his military service, he spent more than 25 years as a Pennsylvania State Constable, where he played a significant role in his community, earning the respect and admiration of those he served.

He possessed a deep passion for woodworking, engaging in this beloved hobby that allowed him to express his creativity and craftsmanship. Fenton was also a lover of animals, especially his beloved dogs. He found immense joy in spending time in Williamsburg, VA and reading books about history.

Fenton is survived by his wife, Sandra A. Spiese (Arena), his daughter, Laura, husband John Hopko; and his son, James, wife Kellie Fidler. Fenton also leaves behind his grandchildren, Asheley, Jessica and Natasha; and his great grandchildren, Chase, Keira and Charlotte. His passing leaves a void in their lives, but they take solace in the love they shared and the memories they created together.

A graveside service will be held for immediate family on July 28, 2025, at Sinking Spring Cemetery in Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania. Friends are invited to send donations to the Berks County Humane Society,1729 N. 11th Street, Reading, PA 19604.

Fenton H. Spiese will be remembered not only for his unwavering dedication to duty but also for his steadfast beliefs and social positions. His spirit will live on in the memories he leaves behind, while his family continues to carry forward the lessons they learned from Fenton’s time on earth.
