Florence “Bunny” J. (Quigley) Cooper, 82, of Sinking Spring, passed away surrounded by her loving family in her home on Saturday, November 11, 2023. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Helen M. (Davis) and Leo A. Quigley. She was the loving wife of Charles J. Cooper, Sr. and together they shared many years of marriage before his passing in January 2001. She was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church. Bunny worked with electronics at Leeds & Northrup for 25+ years before retiring. She enjoyed gardening, baking, and preserving jellies. Bunny loved sewing, crafting with her grandchildren, and spending time with her family.
Bunny is survived by her children, Helen M. Croft, wife of John of Sinking Spring and Charles J. Cooper, Jr., husband of Tammy of Reading. Also surviving are her grandchildren; Rebecca Levan (Bruce), Stephen Croft, Sr. (Sherry), Helen Tamara Osle (Daniel Justin), Cyle Cooper, and Douglas Cooper, her great grandchildren; Stephen Jr., Alexander, Lizze, Ella, Logan, Allyssa, Lilyana, and Rachel, her siblings; Ellen M. Sabo, Katherine E. DiBiase, Cheryl J. Bannon, Margaret Mattero (Michael), Leo J. Quigley (Marie), and sister-in-law, Judy Quigley. In addition to her husband, Charles, Bunny is predeceased by her siblings, Dorothy A. Preston, Lucy Williams, and James F. Quigley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 10:30 am in St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, 2600 St. Albans Dr., Reading, PA 19609. Reverend Thomas Bortz to celebrate. The family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday, November 18th from 9:30 am to 10:15 am in St. Ignatius Loyola Church. Inurnment will follow mass at Berks County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Mrs. Florence “Bunny” Cooper to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
