Geraldine M. “Gerry” Ostrowski, 79, of Mount Penn, passed away Saturday January 1, 2022 at 5:35 am in Reading Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Theodore L. Ostrowski with whom she celebrated 58 years of marriage.  Born in Reading, Mrs. Ostrowski was the daughter of the late Anna and Leon Debkowski.   She was a graduate of Alvernia University and Reading Central Catholic High School, where she was valedictorian of the 1960 graduating class.  She was retired from the Agere subsidiary of Lucent Technologies.  Mrs. Ostrowski was a devout member of Saint Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, where she had volunteered as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion.  She was devoted to Our Blessed Mother, and prayed the Rosary faithfully every day.  Throughout her life she never stopped challenging herself, always learning something new.  She was an accomplished gardener and maintained an expansive vegetable garden every summer.  She loved Christmas and the Sunday morning polka party on the radio. She will be dearly missed by her friends who prayed with her and gathered with her to share breakfast and fellowship.    She is survived by her sister Joanne Bowman of Reading PA, children Christopher A. Ostrowski, husband of Laura A. Ostrowski of Annandale, NJ; Stephen M. Ostrowski, husband of Anne M. Ostrowski of Mohrsville; Maria K. Adams, wife of Edward C. Adams of Pennside; Nicholas J. Ostrowski, husband of Mary T. Ostrowski of Spring City; and her grandchildren Rebecca, Maribeth, Stephanie, Melissa, Benjamin, Brian and Sam.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church 4975 Boyertown Pike, Exeter Township, Thursday January 6, 2022 at 11:00 am.  Reverend Monsignor Edward R. Domin, Celebrant.  Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.  The family will receive relatives and friends at Saint Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church from 9:00 am to 10:45 am.  Bean Funeral Home, 6 Fairlane Road, Exeter Township is in charge of arrangements.   Online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
