Gilroy Solis

Gilroy Solis, 48, of Spring Township, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2026 at 2:13 pm at Reading Hospital. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Gilroy was the son of Gildardo A. and Ruth Naomi (Gonzalez) Solis of Reading. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Alvernia University and was of the Pentecostal Faith. Gilroy was a Sergeant in the United States Army during Operation Desert Storm. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles Fan. In addition to his parents, Gilroy is survived by his sons Darren G. and Caleb J. Solis both of Wyomissing and his siblings Charlotte A. Solis of Reading; Shannon Solis of Tennessee and Javier Solis of Reading.

Funeral Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home, 129 East Lancaster Ave. Shillington, Thursday, November 12, 2026 at 11:00 am. The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home Thursday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Interment with Military Honors rendered by the United States Army Honor Guard will be held on Friday November 13, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
