Glenn C. Schlegel Jr. passed away peacefully at Paramount Senior Living, Maytown, PA on February 6, 2026. Born in Reading on January 20, 1944, Glenn was the son of the late Anna (née Bear) and Glenn C. Schlegel Sr.
Glenn was a 1961 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School. He worked in precast concrete and owned Stone Brix, Inc. of Reinholds for over 40 years.

Glenn enjoyed hunting at the Reading ELK Lodge in Poe Valley, where he was a member for over 50 years. Upon retirement, he took up fly-fishing in Penns Creek.
Glenn will be remembered for his love of kidding and all things fun, his devotion to his family, his passion for racing and hunting, and the many friendships he formed.
He is survived by his daughters Denise Welk (Wayne), Jennifer Heistand (Dustin), Emily Schlegel, and Amanda Schlegel (Francis Nikolaus); granddaughters Amber Dominik (David), Miranda and Corinne Heistand, and Alexandra May; great-granddaughter Victoria Dominik; sister Gayle Keinard (Barry, dec.) and brother Gene (Margaret); along with several nieces and nephews.
