Harry E. Charlesen, 77, of Reinholds, Pennsylvania, husband of Deborah D. (Dodds) Charlesen, passed away in his home on Friday, August 22, 2025. He was born in Ridgeway, Pennsylvania. He was employed by Pepperidge Farm as a General Bake Shop Helper for 38 years until his retirement in 2007. Mr. Charlesen was a bowling coach for Penn State Berks Campus; Head Bowling Coach at Garden Spot High School; Assistant Bowling Coach at Schuylkill Valley High School; Bowling Coach at Berks Lane and Bowling Coach for People to People Sports Ambassadors. His greatest accomplishment in bowling was being inducted into the Reading-Pottstown Bowling Hall of Fame.
Mr. Charlesen was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Junior Charlesen and Catherine Elizabeth (Lenz) Charlesen. In addition to his wife, Mr. Charlesen is survived by his children Robert C. Charlesen of Reading; Bridgette S. Weinberg, wife of Tim of Taylor Mill, Kentucky; Becky L. McNulty, wife of John of Pine Grove; Tammy L. Gould of East Earl, his 20 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and his sister Mary Ann Paszkiewicz of Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home located at 3825 Penn Avenue; Sinking Spring, PA, on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Services will be officiated by Amy S. Landis, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery at 650 Fritztown Road; Sinking Spring, PA.
