Harvey B. Griffith

Harvey B. Griffith, 90, of Cumru Township, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at The Heritage of Green Hills, Personal Care Center. He was the loving husband to Joyce V. (Styer) for over 56 years of marriage before her passing on December 19, 2020. Born in Reading, Harvey was the son of the late Harvey Griffith and Mary Ellen (Bixler). Harvey was a graduate of Shillington High School, class of 1951 and went on to serve in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked as a service technician for over 24 years for General Electric in Allentown, and was a member of the VFW for over 60 years.

Harvey is survived by his daughter, Jodi L. Griffith Allsopp, wife of Arthur, of Plymouth MA, step son, Michael K. Wertz Sr. husband of Sandra, of Reading, grandson, Michael K. Wertz Jr., husband of Chera, great grandson, Caleb, and sister Susan Miller, wife of Charles.

Funeral service for Harvey will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 129 E. Lancaster Ave, Shillington, on Saturday March 9, 2024, at 9:00 AM. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home, Shillington on Saturday from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM. Interment will be held privately.
