Helen C. Schell

Helen C. Schell, 78, of Richlandtown, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Phoebe Center, Richlandtown. Born in Philadelphia, Helen was the daughter of the late, Geroge W. Schell, and Constance D. (Hall) Schell.

Helen was a graduate of Marple Newtown High School, achieved her B.A. from Wilson College, and attended Indiana University, Master’s Program. Helen was very active in the music community in the Reading area, primarily playing the viola. She also enjoyed conducting.

Helen is survived by her sister, Elizabeth D. Tarr, wife of Steven, of Lansdale, PA. 

Services for Helen will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Inurnment to be held at Zion United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Helen's memory to The Reading Musical Foundation. Bean Funeral Home, Sinking Spring is entrusted with arrangements.
