James R. Klucsarits, 67, of Fleetwood, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2022 at the Reading Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Kelly J. Klucsarits (Tittle). Together they shared 30 years of marriage.
Born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late John and Helen (Tellacolo) Klucsarits. James graduated with a BS and MS in biology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He continued his education at Temple University, where he received his Master’s Degree in Education.
James was an Associate Professor for Alvernia University for over 30 years and retired in 2020. James was a loving supportive father and wonderful grandfather. His life revolved around nature and the environment. His passion for plants, birds and all animals was passed onto to his daughter and many other children. After retirement his mantra for life became dogs, prayer and meditation. He feared time was running out for Mother Nature.
James days revolved around his love of dogs. He started every day with a walk in the woods with his “pack”, Beau and Mecho. He spent his days walking his dogs, playing tennis, playing guitar, listening to music, birding, and volunteering for the Hawk Mountain American Kestrel Nest Box Project.
In addition to his wife Kelly J. Klucsarits of Fleetwood, he is survived by his daughter, Kara J. Sheehan, wife of Chris Sheehan, of Shady Side, MD; grandchildren, Finnegan James Sheehan & Blaire Margot Sheehan; brother, Michael Klucsarits, husband of Fran, of Allentown; and nephew, Jeffrey Klucsarits, of Allentown.
