James O'Neill

James J. O'Neill, 79, of Bern Twp, passed away October 27, 2008 at 3:31 AM in his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Mildred E. (Kase) O'Neill. Born in Atco, NJ, he was the son of the late Harry J. and Anna (Clauss) O'Neill.
On August 30, 1952, he married the love of his life and for the past 2 years has tenderly cared for her through her recent illness. As a cancer survivor for over 44 years he dedicated much of his life to teaching other laryngectomy patients how to speak again. He was a devoted husband and father whose work ethic was second to none.
He served in the U.S. Army during peacetime.
He was employed for the past 14 years for High Industries at Homewood Suites in Wyomissing.
Mr. O'Neill was a lifelong member of St. Margaret's RCC, Reading.
Surviving in addition to his wife are 3 daughters, Deborah A. (O'Neill) Johnston wife of Bruce L. Marcus of Silver Spring, MD, Donna M. (O'Neill) wife of John M. Giardiello of Mt. Penn, and Kasey A. O'Neill of Sinking Spring, 2 sons Francis P. and wife Cindy O'Neill of Sinking Spring and Shawn P. and wife Lisa O'Neill of Auburn, PA, 8 grandchildren Brendon J. and wife Amanda Johnston, Todd Giardiello, Gina Giardiello, Kathryn Stocker, Kevin O'Neill, James O'Neill, Laura O'Neill and Eric O'Neill, 2 great grandchildren Dylan Johnston and Bryce Johnston and a sister Anna (O'Neill) Riegel of Reading.
