Jane A. Kerns

Jane (Yerger) Kerns, formerly of Reading, peacefully stepped into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, May 10, 2026. Born on September 12, 1939 in Reading, Pennsylvania, Jane was the daughter of the late Ethel Boyer. She was the beloved wife of the late Ronald W. Kerns who passed away in 1998 and the loving companion of Terry Trout of Oakland Park, Florida, where she most recently resided.

Jane worked for Glidden Paints as an executive secretary and held several other positions throughout the Reading area over the years. She was also proud to serve for many years as the National Membership Director for the American Gold Wing Association, where she formed many lasting friendships and touched countless lives. She served as an officer for many years with Pagoda-Skyline Inc. and was involved and hosted many car cruises.

Above all else, Jane cherished her family and friends. She loved life, laughter, traveling and making memories with the people she loved most. Her warmth, sense of humor and joyful spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Jane is survived by her loving companion Terry Trout, her children Donald Kerns and his wife Karen; Beverly Kelly-Carfagno and her husband Thomas Carfagno and Connie Flemming and her husband James; her cherished grandchildren Patricia, Ryan, Colleen, James, Eric and Lauren; her seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Memorial Service will be held at Bean Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1605 Rockland Street, Hampden Heights, Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 6:00 pm. The family will receive relatives and friends from 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm.
