Jean Barto

Jean Barto, 83, of Chestnut Knoll in Boyertown and formerly of Country Meadows, passed away November 16, 2010 in Reading Hospital & Medical Center where she was a patient for 4 days. She was the wife of Forrest A. Barto who passed away July 8, 2004. Born in Reading on June 30, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Robert S. and Jean P. (Neilson) McCallum.

Jean worked the counter and cash register at Ronco's Parmacy in the late 60's until 1973 she then did clerical work for the Berks County Conservation District in the 70's retiring from there in 1988.

Surviving are a son Forrest W. "Kip" Barto of Cumru Twp., a daughter Cheryl J. (Barto) wife of David Cloughly of Apopka, FL, 2 grandchildren Kyle Edwards and Taylor Edwards, a great grandchild Kyleigh Edwards and a sister Ruby (McCallum) wife of William "Doc" Reber of Sinking Spring. She was predeceased by 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
