Jean Methlie

Jean Marie Methlie, age 92, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022 in Dunnellon, Florida. Jean was born August 28, 1929 in West Hazleton, Pennsylvania to the late Rudolph Boyer and Myrle T. (Heil) Knies.

Jean was a retired registered nurse and nurse anesthetist. She enjoyed oil painting landscapes and other scenery. Jean loved traveling with her family in her younger years along with doing needlepoint, crocheting and working crossword puzzles and reading "The Globe!!"  She also enjoyed camping adventures growing up.

Jean moved to Zephyrhills, Florida in 1997 from Shillington, Pennsylvania. She later moved to Dunnellon and became a member of Peace Lutheran Church MS.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles G. Methlie, Jr. and granddaughter, Shannon Gardner.

Survivors include her three daughters, Sheryl A. (Gene) Lutz, Janet (Chuck) Martinak and Barbara Sadler; three grandchildren, Kelli Hanson, David Lutz and Kathy Babcock along with seven great grandchildren.

Graveside Service will be held at Pleasant View Cemetery, 650 Fritztown Road, Sinking Spring, Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 10:30 am. Amy S.
