Jeannette Saft

Jeannette H. Saft (Yaffee), 94 , of Lower Alsace Township, passed away on January 19, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife to Nathaniel Saft, for over 53 years, before his passing on August 17, 2002. Born in Harrisburg, PA, Jeannette was the daughter of the late Samuel R. Yaffee, and Rose R. (Aaronson). Jeannette worked as an Optician at Pearle Vision Center for over 11 years before her retirement. Jeannette’s outgoing personality was welcomed by all, as she truly wanted the people she was surrounding to laugh and smile. Jennette also had a love of singing and even sang on the radio in the 50’s.

Surviving Jeannette are her children, Lorrene M. Heisler, Ira H. Saft, Ronda R. Klein, and her 7 grandchildren.

Interment was held privately at the convenience of the family at Shomrei Habrith Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to be made in Jeannette’s memory to The Jewish Community Center of Reading. Online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
