Joan E. Kantner

Joan E. Kantner, 89, of Exeter Township, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2025 at 2:30 pm at Penn State Health-St. Joseph Hospital. She was the wife of the late Robert S. Kantner who passed away January 1, 2010. Born in Jefferson Township, Mrs. Kantner was the daughter of the late John E. Fox and Sarah E. (Stoudt) Fox Manbeck. She was a member of the former Lighthouse Bible Church in Shillington and was a Clerk at CNA Insurance Company for 11 years, retiring in 1987 and then for Wilson Safety Products for 12 years. Mrs. Kantner is survived by her children Clark A. Kantner with whom she last resided; Scott M. Kantner of Texas; Gloria J. Kantner of Reading and her 5 grandchildren and one great grandson. She is also survived by her half-sister Susan J. Beck of Mohrsville and was preceded in death by her son Eric J. Kantner, October 7, 2002 and by her sister Sarah A. Christman.

Funeral Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home 6 Fairlane Road, Exeter Township, Monday, October 13, 2025 at 1:00 pm. Pastor Terry Griffith will officiate. Interment will follow at Berks County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home Monday from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
