Joan T. Kimball

Joan Tobin Kimball, 92, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2026, at Phoebe Berks in Wernersville, PA. Born in Canton NY the daughter of Robert and Nina (Stiles) Tobin. She was a proud graduate of Onondaga Valley Academy.

A lifelong resident of Fayetteville, NY, Joan possessed an enduring passion for nature. She spent her happiest moments with family and outdoors biking, hiking, camping, x-country skiing and spending time at Camp Chocolate in Brantingham NY. As an avid animal lover, she dedicated time, energy, and love to supporting all creatures’ great and small. She enjoyed movies and books of all genres. Joan worked in retail for many years before her retirement, after which she and her husband, Larry, spent their time traveling and creating beautiful memories together. Joan was predeceased by her beloved husband of 43 years, Lawrence Kimball; her stepdaughter, Melissa Jones; and her grandson, Thomas Kelly.

She is survived by her loving children, daughter Vicki (Dave) Fisher and son Bill (Debbie) Eberle; her stepdaughter, Christina (John) Kelly; and her granddaughter, Madison Jones and half-son Bobby (Flash) Kingsley.

Graveside services will be held at Onondaga Valley Cemetery, Nedrow, New York on Monday, October 19 at 12 noon.
