Joann Lawrence

JoAnn H. Lawrence (Boyer), 84, of West Lawn, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at the Reading Hospital. She was the loving wife to David K. Lawrence for over 56 years before he passed on October 2, 2017. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late, George Boyer and Helen (Selin). JoAnn was a graduate of Wilson High School, class of 1955, and went on to graduate from Reading Hospital School of Nursing in 1958. She worked as a Registered Nurse and as a Supervisor at Wernersville State Hospital for 30 Years before she retired in 1995. JoAnn served on the board of the Old Dry Road Farm, also as the Treasurer of Pennsylvania Heartland Herb Society and was a Life Member of the Herb Society of America.

She is survived by her son, Kirk D. Lawrence-Howard, Husband of James Lawrence-Howard, of Reading, as well as her brother, Cary R. Boyer, husband of Jane, of Phoenix, AZ. She is also survived by her nephews, Jeff and Mike Boyer.

Funeral Service for JoAnn will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave, Sinking Spring, on Friday, November 5, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Amy Landis, Certified Celebrant to officiate, interment will follow in Spies Zion Cemetery. The Family will receive friends and relatives in Bean Funeral Home, on Friday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
